I strongly recommend Adrienne Yamamoto of The Movement Doc LLC who has made a significant impact to restore my functional mobility to a level prior to my ailment and making my recovery journey possible.
My lower back and sciatica nerve pain has been a depilating experience making simple daily functional activities (e.g., walking, reaching, ascending/descending stairs, bending, getting in and out of the car, getting on/off the bed, limited standing time) excruciatingly painful and difficult for me. Under the care of Adrienne Yamamoto of The Movement Doc LLC, I have significantly improved and restored my overall mobility and flexibility. I am now able to accomplish my daily functional activities and carry on with a movement lifestyle I had previously taken for granted. Although I’ve tried various over-the-counter remedies, acupuncture and massage therapies, Adrienne’s treatment has been most effective with progressive improvement and lasting outcomes.
Adrienne is extremely caring and takes time to explain her diagnosis, treatment plan, and is meticulous about testing progress at every step of the way. Her expert skills and knowledge of physiology and anatomy are impressive which allows her to apply manual therapy and recommend appropriate therapeutic exercises in appropriate progression and repetition. She applies customized interventions focusing on specific treatment areas as well as incorporates overall well-being health practices (e.g. breathing, posture, strength training) and follows up to monitor progress between appointments. Adrienne makes appointments easy to schedule and is amazingly flexible to accommodate dynamic and busy calendars.
I strongly recommend Adrienne Yamamoto and totally trust her assessments and treatment as she sincerely cares about the progress of her patients – superb communication, on-going support, and an abundance of patience needed for physical therapy to be successful. She is a true professional and dedicated to the practice of physical therapy.
Thank you, Adrienne for working with me to reach my personal goals and teaching me techniques that I can apply for a lifetime.

I know Adrienne from undergrad and ran into her 9 yrs later to see if she could help me with my shoulder instability and range of motion. She’s legit. I’ve been to other PTs in the past and no one compares. She makes PT fun but delivers results. She makes exercises functional and relatable to what I do for my own workouts. She knows how to progress me, but doesnt rush it. She asks a lot of questions and tries to understand where I’m coming from which makes me know she cares about my progress. Shes good with her hands and her manual therapy techniques help me in ways I cant help myself. She also lifts weights! This is important in my opinion especially if you’re trying to get back under a barbell again. A good PT should not just talk the talk but walk the walk and Adrienne does just that! Dont waste your time anywhere else, go see Adrienne asap. -grazfitnesshawaii owner

I have biceps tendonitis in my right shoulder. The discomfort was getting unbearable and so I decided to have surgery done. About a month prior to my surgery date I was introduced to Adrienne. I was told that she could possibly help me alleviate the pain. Was skeptical at first but I was willing to try something instead of surgery. After about a month with Adrienne (once a week visits), I started noticing a difference and I was feeling better. The pain wasnt as bad and I was able to function somewhat normally again. Adrienne is very knowledgeable and was able to help me work through my problem with massages and simple exercises. She is pretty thorough with trying to pinpoint the problem areas. I am very glad to have had my experience with Adrienne. I canceled my surgery and am very happy about the results.

For about a year, I faced a terrible, debilitating, and slow-healing rotator cuff tear as a result of a surfing injury on the North Shore. I was not able to use my arm at all, let alone surf, which I used to do every day. I couldn't even pull a belt around my waist to get dressed in the mornings, and the pain in the evenings would prohibit proper sleep.
I was determined to recover without surgery. Fortunately, I was referred to Adrienne Yamamoto by my Orthopedic Specialist who insisted that she was perhaps the best Physical Therapist available. I wasn't disappointed.
Physical Therapists are not "massage therapists" or "personal trainers". They must hold a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree to practice professionally. Adrienne applied her education, experience, and a high level of attentiveness to my situation. She was able to quickly and effectively accelerate the healing of my shoulder. She relentlessly attacked the area around the injury with in-person and at-home routines to make my shoulder area much more flexible and stronger. Under her care, the healing process accelerated drastically.
Now, I'm back to surfing nearly everyday and my shoulder is nearly 100%. No surgery. I would highly recommend Adrienne for anyone facing an injury.

After meniscus repair surgery I had a lot of anxiety around injuring myself by doing something wrong, or overdoing it, or of being pushed to go too fast by an overzealous physical therapist.
Adrienne’s calm presence, close listening, and customized, methodical approach laid all that to rest. Throughout the recovery process Adrienne guided me along, always with careful evaluation of my progress. Early on I started feeling pain in my other knee because it was suddenly carrying a much bigger daily load. I spoke up and with a few adjustments I was back on a good track.
Now I’m as good as new and back to swimming and hiking stronger than I was before surgery.

"For approximately three months, Dr. Adrienne Yamamoto was my physical therapist. After attending a seminar about back pain, I decided to seek help at One Accord Pain Center in its Mesa, Arizona office.
I was greeted with a warm hello from Dr. Adrienne Yamamoto. She listened intently and took copious notes as I described back pain. I had fallen over a dead cactus plant and suffered pain on my lower left side. I also had difficulty with my left knee. These injuries had caused sleep deprivation. I had ceased playing pickleball. I also experienced pain playing tennis and walking long distances. I explained that as a cancer and stem cell transplant survivor, sleep is essential to remaining in remission. Dr. Yamamoto asked questions about my medical history and goals for physical therapy. As a 62 year old cancer survivor my primary goals were sleep and exercise.
After the initial consultation and in subsequent visits, Dr. Yamamoto examined me and recommended a series of exercises based upon weakness in my sacral region and the muscles surrounding my left knee. I followed her exercise regime and after a few weeks, the pain in my left knee disappeared (pain which had prevented me from bending and flexing my knee for several years).
I continued to see Dr. Yamamoto twice a week and twice a day I did my at home exercises. The pain on my left side (which sometimes radiated down my left leg) slowly began to subside. I decided to try pickleball and, to my surprise I was able to play a few games without pain. At the end of three months, I was playing pickleball once a week. I continue to use the exercise tools to strengthen my back, knees and improve my posture. My knee pain never returned!
I play pickle ball once or twice a week, play tennis twice a week and walk 45 minutes three times a week. My sleeping has also significantly improved. I am grateful beyond measure to know that when I retire for the night, if awakened by back discomfort, I have tools to alleviate any back discomfort."

"As Adrienne's patient, I quickly noticed her exceptional observation skills and her willingness to listen intently. Such skills seem somewhat rare these days.
Over several months of therapy, she was able to develop and implement an effective plan for my recovery. Although not every therapy or exercise was successful, Adrienne's dedication to finding answers, her curiosity, and her creativity, combined to produce an outcome beyond what I had expected.
While under her care, in-between therapy sessions, I would receive follow up emails from Adrienne, checking on my progress, addressing my questions and concerns, and helping me stay motivated during my recovery. She's clearly committed to doing whatever she can to help her patients succeed.
Adrienne is kind and compassionate, and shows genuine concern for her patients. She is a knowledgeable and skilled practitioner, who approaches therapy sessions with curiosity and a sense of humor that make the time spent in her care productive and enjoyable. I highly recommend Dr. Adrienne."

"This is a testimony to my great experience with partaking of physical therapy for my terrible sciatic nerve pain. I winter in Arizona and before going there in the fall of 2017, I had been going to a chiropractor at home. He helped me for a day or two, then the pain came back. I decided to get more help in Casa Grande, where we winter. However, I wasn't sure of what kind of help to get. After one of my friends posted an article about Needling, on Facebook, to help with sciatic nerve pain, I decided to look into getting that in or near Casa Grande. When I googled it, One Accord, physical therapy came up. After going and talking to a Doctor there, I decided to give this place a try. I was under the care of Dr. Adrienne Yamamoto. I never got to have the needling that brought me to this place to begin with. After almost three months of physical therapy, I was so much better and didn't need needling. Dr. Yamamoto was the physical therapist that I saw the whole time and we worked hard to figure out my pain and she came up with exercises for me to do. I was diligent in doing the exercises she gave me and, now, seven months after physical therapy, I am still sciatic nerve pain free! I owe it all to Dr. Yamamoto. She was wonderful and tried so hard to understand my pain. If she was ever stumped, she would ask for help from others to try to help me. It worked! I would (and have) recommended her services to anyone!"

"I'm writing this to tell you about my experience with Adrienne Yamamoto as my physical therapist while she was employed at One Accord in Casa Grande, AZ. I broke my wrist the 24th of May, 2018 and saw Adrienne for rehab on it for several weeks in July and August. First she determined what level my capabilities were and then set about making sure I got back full range of motion and strength. She did this in a very friendly and professional way. What I especially appreciated was that she took the time to find out about what was going on with my life and what I hoped to achieve during our sessions. She made it fun as well as therapeutic and she also gave me suggestions for activities I could do at home between my sessions with her.
So, I am now happily back to playing pickleball as well as all my other activities. I'm very happy to be able to recommend Adrienne with any rehabilitation treatments you may need."

"It has been my pleasure to have been a patient of Ms. Yamamoto’s in 2017 and again in 2018. I met her in 2017 when I was referred to One Accord Physical Therapy. She examined me and listened intently while I described my difficulties. She was very patient teaching me her prescribed exercises. I kept a journal of my progress, which was helpful to both of us; as it was not easy to determine what worked and what didn’t. Thera was a lot of trial and error. She asked me questions and listened intently when I answered. This enabled her to offer exercises that truly helped my condition, and I was discharged.
In 2018 I returned to One Accord and was delighted to find that I would be working with Ms. Yamamoto again. My problems were much different from before. She was patient, professional and determined to help me find the exercises that would work. It was not an easy task to determine which part of my body was causing my pain. I am pleased to say that again, Ms. Yamamoto figured out the exercises that gave me relief.
I have the highest regard for Ms. Yamamoto’s therapeutic skills. She is calm, encouraging, explains procedures very well and is relentless in determining the underlying causes of pain."

I was a client of Adrienne at One Accord PT (Casa Grande, AZ) in 2018 for a middle ear disorder causing imbalance and nausea. Adrienne was very knowledgeable and thorough in assessment of my problem, and applied her skill to my treatment. She was very caring and personable; treating me like a special person and not just a client. I was very satisfied with the results of my therapy and would highly recommend her services to anyone who needs a qualified, caring physical therapist.
